Many people find this website while looking for copies of the Alabama Rules of Appellate Procedure. We were one of the first sites to make the full text of the rules available online for free, and we try to keep the version on this site current with any amendments or additions to the official rules.
In 2010 there were several changes to the Alabama Rules of Appellate Procedure, which were mentioned in an earlier blog post. All of those changes are now fully included in our directory of the rules.
The appellate rules that were modified during 2010 include Rule 28(d)(8), Rule 32(a), and Rule 52. The appellate courts also adopted Rule 56, which has been added to our site. Also, we added the Interim Electronic Filing and Service Rule in Rule 57, which was not previously included in our directory.
Some other expansions of the website are in the works, some of which are visible already and some of which will be announced at a later date. We are also working on a series of layman’s articles on issues related to appellate law practice, which will start appearing in our law blog in the near future.
If you have questions related to Alabama appellate law or wish to discuss hiring our office to represent you in your appeal, please call (800) 737-3702 or use our Contact form to send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you.
Alabama State Bar rules require the following disclaimer in all attorney advertisements: “No representation is made that the quality of legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of services provided by other attorneys.”
